  17. Installation

  19. There is nothing to install.  Simply open your favorite word processor, page layout 
  20. program, or graphics application and Insert, Import, Place, or Open the desired image.

  23. Finding an Image

  25. Use the printed documentation that accompanied this product to find an image. The file 
  26. name is located with the thumbnail of the image.  The clip art is also organized in folders 
  27. or directories for easy location.

  30. Opening and Printing images
  31.  
  32. This entire CD contains graphic files that can be imported into most popular word 
  33. processing, graphic, and page layout applications. How that is accomplished is 
  34. determined by which application you use. Most applications have an Insert, Import, 
  35. Place, or Open command that allows you to import a graphic image into a document. 
  36. Please see your application's user manual for detailed instructions about opening and 
  37. printing documents with images.

  40. File Formats

  42. The clip-art images on this CD are available in one or more of the following graphic 
  43. formats: TIF (CCITT compression), GIF, EPS or PCX. If your application does not load 
  44. one file type, try another.

  47. Using with other machines
  48.  
  49. This CD-ROM has been optimized for use under the Macintosh¿ and Windows¿ 
  50. operating systems. However, they also work with DOS, Unix, Apple II, Amiga, and other 
  51. computers that read ISO 9660 formatted CD-ROM.  Of course, they must also have an 
  52. application that can read one of the graphic file formats listed above.

  55. Networks

  57. This CD has been designed for use on single-user machines and may not operate correctly 
  58. across networks. If you experience any problems with corrupted files when accessed 
  59. across a network, move the CD drive to a single machine and try again.

  62. Modifying images
  63.  
  64. It is possible to modify the images on this CD by using a graphics application like Adobe 
  65. PhotoShop¿ or Illustrator¿, Canvas¿, Freehand¿, CorelDraw¿, DeskPaint¿, or any 
  66. other editor that can read the files.

  68. Use your favorite graphics application to colorize, resize, distort, crop, or combine images 
  69. to create your own unique images. Please see your application's user guide for detailed 
  70. instructions.  Note: Some graphics programs edit only certain graphic file types. Check 
  71. your user manuals for details.
